Pick Up Artist –

So you want to be a pickup artist huh? Allow me to convince you otherwise for what you’re about to learn will shape your views of being a PUA altogether.

A Pick Up Artist is considered a connoisseur and student in the art of picking up women. The term first coined by Mystery aka from the Mystery Method he referred to a pick up artist as one that studies and practices the art of picking up women.

In the beginning you’re referred to as an AFC then ultimately progressing to become better at opening, attracting and seducing women you become a MPUA (Master Pickup Artist) or even a PUG (Pickup Guru).

Now the term pick up artist is loosely associated in the seduction community as one that uses gambits and pua routines when approaching women. A pua never uses pick up lines as most pick up lines are considered useless and sleazy. They refer to starting a conversation with a woman as “opening her”.

Nowadays these are very negative undertones associated with the terms PUA and Pick up artist. So my advice in becoming a pickup artist is first refer yourself as “learning to become a better man”.

In a way you’re learning nothing underhanded as most “naturals” will have these skills already so the quickest way will be to copy them. These skills are:

-The ability to talk to very attractive women

-Having fun when going out to bars and NOT out for the sole purpose to pickup

-The skill of making friends with women easy

-Not ego driven; this way criticism or rejection has literally no effect

-Being conversational, polite but also firm, dominant and stands up for their point of view.

Being a real pickup artist (pua) is a lot harder than it sounds. Firstly you need time on your hands to study the arts of pickup, some people end up quitting their jobs and even ruining their career to learn the fine art pickup has to offer.

Secondly you need a decently briefed wingman who will “wing” you when you open sets (groups of girls), having a wingman helps the pickup immensely, a pickup artist will have several of these on call at all times just in case a girl he’s picking up has a friend along with her.

Thirdly learning to be a great pickup artist requires dedication, hard work and a strong skin to endure rejection several times over. Trust me on this. It helps when learning the art of pickup to not be outcome based and not be ego driven. This way the pick up artist wont be affected by any outcome that comes his way.

The seduction and pickup community (now being more open and exposed) a lot of puas are steering away from using pua routines and studying the “old” ways of being a pick up artist.

Being natural and allowing conversations to flow will yield greater results and you’ll more likely pick up a lucky lady in the meantime.
