Neil Strauss author of The Game

Neil Strauss or Style is one of the most famous of Pick Up Artists in the world, Neil’s theories and practices have been followed by 1000s of budding Neil Strauss wannabes. Neil Strauss, who used to be a self confessed –Average Frustrated Chump or AFC before he discovered the online seduction community and PUA training camps, is today one of the most skilled and revered PUAs around.

Neil Strauss, who was almost never successful with women, got involved with reading and learning all about impressing and picking up women online.

After having read almost everything that was on offer, Strauss contacted the then mastermind of pick-up—Mystery or Erik Von Markovich and attended a training camp under him. Within no time at all, Strauss had honed his pick up skills considerably and was soon taken on as a partner for hosting PUA training camps along with his mentor Mystery.

The transition from an AFC to a PUA took only about an year or so and in order to help more guys caught in the situation that he was earlier in, Strauss decided to write his book, ‘The Game: Penetrating The Secret Society Of Pick-Up Artists’.

Neil Strauss is now considered to be a top author in the world.

The Game became one of the most popular books on picking up women and many men today may swear by the book as being their introduction to the world of picking up women and being studs instead of AFCs. Well known PUAs have applauded Neil Strauss and his book, specifying that using techniques and methods like those propounded by Neil Strauss are necessary in order to achieve a stage where you can indulge in your natural gaming instincts and “ be yourself”.

After the success of The Game, Strauss came up with his own PUA method, The Annihilation Method, which he patented and taught to a select few students in 2006. However, study material for the Annihilation Method was soon pirated and sold everywhere and most people eventually put it down to something very close to The Game. Around the same time, Strauss’ girlfriend Lisa Leveridge left him for rock star Robbie Williams, which gave him another set back.

In spite of everything, Neil Strauss’ contribution to the promotion of the seduction community cannot be ignored, since his appearance on television and not just the US, but also in Europe and Australia made a large numbers of men aware of the fact that success with women is not something you’re born with but is more of an acquired skill that anybody can learn. Neil Strauss is a living example of this.

However, Neil Strauss has committed the same mistake as his predecessor Mystery, by paying more attention to techniques and methodology than to the process of natural game and other human aspects like emotions.

His training promotes the use of pre set routines; pre scripted steps and canned materials in order to get the desired results with women. However, better PUA workshops and training institutes involve not just the use of routines and canned material but also teach people how to hone their natural game instincts. The key here is to start with routines but eventually develop your own natural game and attract women while being yourself.
