This video is right on! – good looking or not, applying the foundations that you discuss here and other videos (in member’s area) mean that you seek out opportunities, have interesting things to say (plus body language, the opinion openers, tonality of voice, make ‘em laugh, be interesting & interested, kino) differentiates you from the good looking lad and I’ve done this time and time again (with different levels of success of course).

Hi Alex

I really am digging your videos and philosophy, but I have one question. I have read in several highly regarded books in the community (Double Your Dating, Mystery Method, etc.) that it is a big no-no to ever compliment a woman on her looks when you’re building attraction in the beginning before you have seduced her. However, you constantly talk about how you go up to women and call them “stunning” when you approach them during the day. What am I to think about which one is the best tactic? I have to admit I feel much more confident and comfortable when I avoid telling a girl how good she looks, because I just can’t bring myself to open with compliments, it leaves me too vulnerable i think. Any thoughts?

Great video, Alex!

It’s my favorite video yet! I have been noticing with PUA that it’s mostly about short term relationships, rather than long term. Reading “The Game” I noticed Strauss got so caught up with all the short term stuff and competition with others that he lost himself. A new form of guilt was emerging from being on top of the game. He was really wanted a long term relationship which he finally did establish later on.

I talk to women, and your right Alex, it’s the connection that is most important not the so much how handsome a guy is.

I’m from asia and I see from hollywood movies that some girls do approach guys easily, quite often in fact. I would expect that good-looking guys would be approached by girls much more easily than average looking guys. I’m sorry if this sounds so ignorant, but is this even true or possible?

I’d tell myself that americans get dates more easily just because of that.

Alex, you convinced me even more. I actually thought men who were good looking would have a considerable advantage over other average men. I also knew that looks didn’t matter. But there was one time where a wingman was taking all the credit, he didn’t speak a word, just doing what his personality told him to do. All i did was watch her do all the work to him. I thought, hey, that’s not fair, he’s good looking so he gets an advantage. I knew there were ways around this, but i didn’t know for sure. I thought they would always get the upper hand.

You’ve proven me wrong alex, also you’ve motivated me to speak up more. The problem was that i didn’t say anything, so i didn’t show any personality or rapport, etc. Speak and the others will speak as well.
