David Deangelo started business around ten years ago by authoring one of the first real dating eBooks “doubly your dating”, this book becoming successful he went on to develop and write many more dating relating books relating to using cocky and funny lines, banter lines, starting conversations with beautiful women and more.
David runs seminars every few years around the world and teaches hundreds of thousands of men how to be cocky funny and create attraction. David states that attraction is not a choice and that if you’re funny to a degree where you’re not goofy and you’re cocky to a degree where you’re not too arrogant then you will spark attraction with women regardless of whether she likes it or not.
David deangelo started an interview program several years ago interviewing several well known dating coaches like Mystery, Neil Strauss, Lance Mason and more. And has gone on to create other well known dating books, DVDs and other products.
Double Your Dating business started out when David being single watched a lot of his friends go out and get success where he didn’t even get noticed by the opposite sex. He asked his friends to reveal their innermost techniques and they were clueless on how to transfer their gift, so David watched and took notes. Avid started realizing a pattern in the way women responded to cocky and funny statements and remarked that’s what caused attraction with women is being cocky and then making her laugh at herself. In other words teasing women with a smile.
David Deangelo went out and started teasing women and soon released he had discovered the key to creating lasting attraction.
One of the techniques David teaches is the 3 minute email close which is simply walking up to a woman, stating you don’t have long and you have to get back to your friend but you would like to know her better so you should exchange emails. This doesn’t work all the time but it gets a good consistency if you approach enough women.
Does David Deangelos Techniques Work?
The simple answer is YES they do however they’re more effective when coupled with other techniques. Firstly I recommend you don’t go after their email address as this is fussy behavior (another term David invented). You want numbers or instant dates, yes I mean instant dating her on the spot then and there, if she refuses a number but offers her email then refuse it, if she was interested in you then she would give you her number, so she’s basically dicking you around.
One important point David brings to everyone’s attention is that you need to practice all the time approaching women, when you spot a girl you should practice without hesitating approach her and strike up conversations.
Don’t use any typical conversation starter of pickup line that average guys use or (wussys would use) you want to be unique and stand out from the pack so have something memorized that has that effect.
One thing I like about David’s teachings is the fact that we shouldn’t hide our inhibitions with women. Many men in this day and age are frightened of showing a woman what they’re really thinking and how they desire her. They’re afraid of her knowing that they want to rip he clothes off and have their way with her, whereas David says on the contrary you want her to know that as women are tired of the average guy frustrations, guys that are too “nice” , guys that are too “wussy” or too shy. Women want a real man who picks her up from her feet and is dominant.
Mystery Method Pickup Workshops
The first ever pickup artist to setup shop and charge for workshops was Mystery otherwise known as Erik. Canadian based seducer first started going out in 2000 meeting women in bars and clubs and having devised a systematic method to approaching women and taking it all the way to the bedroom.
Mystery devised many of the popular PUA acronyms known today such as PUA, AFC, MPUA, GMPUA, HB, Close etc and invented many of the well known routines that most pickup artists wanabes are using until this day. The system or “Method” was born.
Mystery called his method the “The Mystery Method”. One of Mystery’s students joined his team and named himself “Savoy”. They toured the USA, Canada and Australia demonstrating their skills live in Bars and clubs and releasing several well known products. Most people recognize mystery from the popular TV show “The Pickup Artist” which is a realistic TV sitcom shot in Miami.
Mystery still goes out even to this day using his techniques and methods to meet women in bars and clubs and still runs his boot camps and workshops. One of mystery’s first students was Neil Strauss who met mystery at his workshop and became his right hand man. Together as a team and a wingman they sarged out many of their cities hotspots.
When Neil wrote his novel “The Game” penetrating the secret society of pickup artists he exposed Mystery as a lunatic who needed help yet he was somewhat successful with the ladies. Is there a link between insanity and pickup, maybe Mystery went insane trying to figure out what women want and ultimately should belong in the nuthouse? Only time will tell.
What does the Mystery Method mean?
Simply put it’s a system whereby it allows you to approach women in a systematic way, build attraction, gain rapport and ultimately get her phone number, a kiss or possibly pull her for a one night stand. ‘
Does His Method Work?
It does work, like many other companies out their teaching live pickup courses many methods and techniques can work in the right hands. It’s not really what you say many coaches would agree, it’s how you say it. You could have the best unique line in the book however if said from the wrong frame or wrong pretext then you won’t be congruent and the girl will realize your not being yourself. This is when girls get creeped out and walk away.
Picking up women and approaching them in bars can be easy once you’ve memorized some good routines and lines to keep then conversation going. However you have to close or seal the deal and overcome what many PUA’s term LMR or last minute resistance. This is when a girl last minute realizes how far she’s come and is borderline on the verge of having intercourse with you and gets suddenly and irrationally freaked out. Irrational is a good way of describing women in general.

What is “The Pickup Artist” and How to Become One?
First to learn the ropes to become a pickup artist you need to understand this is a long road to travel as it took me for example 6 months to achieve my first kiss close in a bar. I went out 5 nights a week and 2 daytimes a week for 6 months and never achieved anything (not even a phone number). I was miserable and thought there must be something wrong with ME, you’ll find out that this is a common occurrence in many PUAs (Pickup artists). They believe the problems lies internally with them and they can’t change it, they are stuck with the hand that was dealt to them. DEAD WRONG.
The problem usually lies with 10% inner game and 90% outer game i.e. conversation starters, routines, keeping the conversation going, funny stories and other outer game tactics. Also many PUAs have to familiarize and become accustomed to rejection on a daily basis.
This isn’t easy street and rejection from women is tough. You have to bite the bullet and deal with it unfortunately to get good and be able to approach women on a consistent basis. If you want to be good expect to be rejected around 1000 times before some REAL skills set in. So what’s the first step to becoming a pickup artist? GO OUT MORE.
Going out to bars and clubs
Firstly get out of the house and find a friend to approach women with. Most guys don’t go out enough generally let alone have a trusty reliable wingman. Every good pickup artist worth his salt has a trusty friend and wingman to join him and help him put up with obstacles and interrupting friends who enter your sarge. You need a friend to occupy them and isolate them away from your target. Finding a friend is easy in the community however finding a decent wingman is difficult. The worst thing you can do that will affect your game is hang out with guys who have no idea what they’re doing.
Learn openers and basic routines
The reason I say this is its imperative if you want to be a successful pickup artist to have something to say. I could be unhelpful and say routines are bad and you shouldn’t be fake and you should be yourself around women, however how will this help you? If what you’re doing now isn’t attracting women and you’re BEING yourself then shouldn’t you try something different?
Don’t get me wrong here … If you want to be a successful pickup artist you will have to stray away from routines eventually and start gaming naturally and using your own life stories and DHVs however if you’re just starting out then you’ll need a few things memorized to say, otherwise you wont be able to start the conversation let alone continue it. Routines and pickup lines that PUAs memorize are there for training wheels and that is all.
How to Be a Top Pick Up Artist?
Many guys out there want to be trained by the top dogs and learn from the best. This is completely understandable and also makes a lot of sense. However you need to understand that the top pickup artists get approached and solicited by many guys who want coaching for free and offer no value so why should they give you their valuable time?
The key her to realize is that if you find a pickup artist who has great game you want to proposition them with something of exchanged value such as you lend them your skills and they lend you theirs in return.
Neil Strauss The Game
This is an article about the game and how Neil was introduced to it ultimately becoming one of the worlds leading pickup artists. He met mystery (more below on him) and then wrote his bestselling book “the game”penetrating the secret society of pickup artists.
Who Is Neil Strauss?
“The Game” penetrating the secret society of pickup artists was a book written several years ago by author and top pick up artist Neil Strauss. Neil also wrote and co authored several other books of a non-pick up artist nature that were quite successful and were top on the New York Times best selling list.
Neil discovered the community through another pua named Erik also known as Mystery. He founded the workshop business “mystery method” and trained Neil to be a successful if not more successful than him at training guys to approach women in bars and clubs.

“Who lies more?” opener or conversation starter
“Best friends test”
Neil was more than successful and became mystery’s right hand man in no time and led many of mystery’s workshops around the United States of America, Australia and Canada. Neil also met many other pick up artists at the Hollywood mansion in California and worked and trained with them. These included Tyler Durden, Papa and 26.
Neil Strauss founded several years ago the Style life academy which is a training ground for guys who have read about the game and want to implement some of the techniques and principles Neil teaches. There is a long road to perfection Neil says and the best way to get good at this is by going out to bars and clubs, opening as many women as possible and getting/asking for phone numbers regardless of whether you like them or not.
Neil Strauss Background:
Neil is a self confessed nerd who never got out much and never seemed to get the girl he wanted. He watched many of the high school jocks steal his girls away and he ended up being the crying shoulder later on when the jocks broke it off with them, secretly he wished he could kiss and get close to them.
He has come a long way since then having multiple sexual partners, threesomes, approached several thousand women, generated and invented several hundred famous openers and routines and now has Lisa leverage on his arm as a hot girlfriend.
Is Neil Strauss still in the game?
There are many speculations out there on whether he still goes out to meet women, or still tries his techniques and routines. The answer is probably and most likely no. He’s a retired pickup artist who no longer is in the game anymore, and why would you be when you have a hot girl on your arm and be called a GMPUA.
Do Neil Strauss’s routines still work?
The short answer is yes they do. Even though many men like to believe they’ve approached all the women in their city and all the other women have been approached by their friends using some line in “the game” the answer is you could not be further from the truth. There are so many women in the world that it would be physically impossible to approach them all, but even so would it make a difference? Why would you be worried if someone else has used that line on them?
Openers, routines, gambits and techniques still work the only difference is in the messenger and how it is delivered. Some women don’t pay attention to one guy (based on many factors such as their approach, the loudness of the music, whether their being distracted by their friends etc) and may not have heard the opener and it’ll work. The girl you approached may also have forgotten about being approached before by the same line (most attractive girls) have been approached a lot and forget faces. In any case you shouldn’t let this worry you.
